Case Study

​A SaaS organization faced challenges in driving user adoption and engagement. Traditional training methods, such as static documentation and webinars, failed to keep pace with frequent product updates, resulting in outdated learning materials and disengaged users. To address these issues, I implemented an Agile learning strategy, incorporating Kanban workflows, data-driven evaluation planning, and in-product education to enhance instructional design efficiency and effectiveness.

Workflow Optimization with Kanban

To enhance process efficiency, I implemented a Kanban board for prioritization of critical tasks. This helped to ensure that high-impact training content was created and updated first, aligning with product release cycles.

Early Integration of KPIs & Metrics in  Planning

To ensure measurable training outcomes, I revised the Instructional Design Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to incorporate KPI identification and evaluation planning at the initial stages of training development. Key improvements included:

• Defining measurable objectives early in the design process.

• Aligning training goals with business impact metrics (e.g., user engagement, feature adoption rates).

• Establishing evaluation frameworks before deployment to track training effectiveness post-implementation.

Embedded Learning via In-Product Education

I leveraged a product adoption platform to implement contextual, in-product education. Key components included:

• Interactive walkthroughs guiding users through essential product features.

• Context-sensitive tooltips provided just-in-time learning assistance.

• Onboarding tours to streamline new user adoption and feature discovery.

Performance Tracking & Continuous Improvement

A data-driven evaluation approach was established, incorporating the following key performance indicators (KPIs):

• Feature adoption rates to assess user engagement with new functionalities.

• Training completion metrics to measure the effectiveness of guided tours and walkthroughs.

• User behavior analytics to identify areas requiring additional instructional interventions.
